Hi! I’m Steve, a Dad who started writing during those early, slightly overwhelming days of parenthood and somehow never stopped.
The Diary of Dad began as a place to document life with my son, Robbie, but over time it’s grown into something more practical: a resource for parents looking for simple activities, honest reviews, and ideas that actually work in real family life.
If you’ve ever searched for an easy craft, a rainy-day activity, or wondered whether a place is really worth visiting with young kids, you’re in the right place.
Most of the content here is based on things we’ve genuinely tried at home — from quick kids crafts and activities to family days out and soft play reviews. Nothing fancy, nothing unrealistic, just ideas that fit around normal life.
The blog has evolved over the years, but the aim stays the same: to help parents spend less time scrolling and more time actually enjoying time with their kids.
Thanks for being here,
Dad
