The smartest moron I know
It’s commonly accepted that kids go to school to learn. It’s a gradual process where children get brighter every day and come out years later as semi functioning human beings. Simple right?

Robbie the schoolboy
It still feels a little strange but reality has now set in and I am coming to terms with being the Father of a school kid. When school shuts its gates on Tuesday so that the kids can have a week preparing for Santa’s visit, Robbie will have completed his first term at school.

A trip down memory lane
It’s no secret that I have a terrible memory. Sadly I remember very little from my own childhood and my short term memory is even worse. I have zero sense of direction and will have to do a route approximately five thousand times before it becomes vaguely familiar.

The seven deadly sins challenge
A couple of years ago I wrote a post challenging my son Robbie to prove that he really is an Angel. I was tired of walking down the street and people stopping by to tell him what a great guy he was when all he did in reality was to torture my soul on a…

He’s getting old
I no longer have a three year old. Another year has passed by, somewhat successfully and it is time to find out exactly what a four year old does.

A fond farewell
Last week we faced a strange day, one that Robbie had been full of anticipation for and as much as he enjoyed his graduation day at nursery we were all left feeling a little sad when it was over.

Fathers day gift ideas 2022
It’s that time again. A time to recognise the greatest humans known to mankind, Dads. For those not paying enough attention, June 19th is the magic date for Father’s day this year and here is just a small selection of wonderful gifts that all of us Super Dads would love to receive.

Happy anniversary
There are certain milestones in life that we all celebrate. Some special dates roll around each year and we all try desperately to remember each other’s birthdays and other such occasions.

A New Enemy
Things change pretty quickly in life, particularly when dealing with toddlers. It goes without saying that being annoyed or at least slightly frustrated is 99% of parenting but there are a few little things that are far more infuriating than your average dad rage.

Too much time on my hands?
Day 38 of lockdown part 3, I think. I had promised myself that this time I would be far more productive and spend time getting my life in order, taking advantage of the extra free time rather than just melting further into my armchair.

A new adventure
So here we are back in lockdown and to be honest, I’m looking forward and hoping the next few weeks are better than the last.

Blogtober is here!
Now I realise that most of you reading this post will have absolutely no idea what that title means and I must admit, I only learnt myself last week. My little old blog is less than a year old so this is my first October as a blogger.

Covid, birthdays and detoxes
Well that’s another week over with and I’m actually pretty glad to see the end of this one. I’m not really that keen on being busy and things have been far too hectic for my liking. From Robbie waking up with a temperature last Sunday things went downhill pretty fast.

An open letter to my liver
Dear Mr Liver, We seem to have a bit of a problem recently and I feel it is time we addressed some issues rather than continuing the pointless battle between us in which their are no winners, just losers.

Today’s the day
It’s FA cup final day and will be Robbie’s first experience of watching Dad suffer the occasion…

From yesterday, to tomorrow
It’s a pretty big week for me. Though it may seem that very little is actually happening, I have two major landmarks in my life this week.

Don’t be offended, it’s just writer’s block
A couple of weeks I created a post that I thoroughly enjoyed writing. I was looking back and reflecting on all of the changes in Robbie since isolation began and how much I was looking forward to showing him off to friends and family.

Isolation – A piece of cake
Cake makes everything better. Particularly when delivered to your doorstep for no reason at all, here’s why…
