Day 38 of lockdown part 3, I think. I had promised myself that this time I would be far more productive and spend time getting my life in order, taking advantage of the extra free time rather than just melting further into my armchair.Continue reading “Too much time on my hands?”
So here we are back in lockdown and to be honest, I’m looking forward and hoping the next few weeks are better than the last.Continue reading “A new adventure”
Now I realise that most of you reading this post will have absolutely no idea what that title means and I must admit, I only learnt myself last week. My little old blog is less than a year old so this is my first October as a blogger.Continue reading “Blogtober is here!”
Last month after one hangover too many I took the decision that it was time for a break from alcohol. It’s now been just under a month and tomorrow marks the end of my detox so I thought it time to have a look at the results.
Well that’s another week over with and I’m actually pretty glad to see the end of this one. I’m not really that keen on being busy and things have been far too hectic for my liking. From Robbie waking up with a temperature last Sunday things went downhill pretty fast.Continue reading “Covid, birthdays and detoxes”

A couple of weeks I created a post that I thoroughly enjoyed writing. I was looking back and reflecting on all of the changes in Robbie since isolation began and how much I was looking forward to showing him off to friends and family.Continue reading “Don’t be offended, it’s just writer’s block”
A few of you may have noticed that this poor little blog has been rather neglected recently. It’s been around three weeks since I last posted but there has been a very good reason for that… Nothing had happened.

I have never been a religious man. That is not to say I do not believe in some greater power, I just have no idea what it is. Today though, we have seen a miracle on Good Friday right inside our own home.Continue reading “An Easter Miracle”
This may disappoint a few drawn in by the headline but sadly this is not a tribute to the fantastic Alanis Morissette. It is instead a crazy celebration of the irony that this wonderful Tuesday has in store for us.Continue reading “Isn’t it ironic?”

In case you haven’t noticed by now, the world has gone a little bit crazy. Widespread panic and sky high stacks of toilet rolls have become the norm but somehow, I seem to have avoided most of it.Continue reading “What A Week!”
Let’s face it, this last week has been a pretty rough one for all of us around the world. The news is, quite rightly, only reporting one thing so I thought I would have a look for something a bit more cheerful.Continue reading “9 Happy news stories from around the world”

Let’s face it, the last few weeks have been a little bit rough. Coronavirus has done so much more than just spread a lethal illness, it has completely wiped all toilet roll from the planet and destroyed our supplies of pasta which is a real issue for us all.Continue reading “Boris Johnson, a new Dad”
